SHELBYVILLE, Ind. — Edna Parker, who became the world's oldest person more than a year ago, has died at age 115.
Coincidentally, Parker lived in the same nursing home as 7-foot-7 Sandy Allen, whom Guinness recognized as the world's tallest woman until her death in August.

What are the chance of the two Guinneess world record holder being in the same place?

Dunes Christmas Party and Toys for Tots

The Dunes Christmas Party and benefit for Toy For Tots is December 6,2008

Theater Outing-Ferndale

Who Wants Cake? is proud to announce the return of David Sedaris’ side-splitting, anti-holiday treat. The Santaland Diaries gives an horrific account of a resting actor (Joe Plambeck) and his seasonal employment in the Christmas Grotto in a famous department store. In Season's Greetings, meanwhile, a housewife (Joe Bailey) is composing her annual Christmas newsletter, detailing the important events of her year ... not least of which is the arrival of her husband's sexually precocious Vietnamese love child. A distinctively different and totally fabulous double bill.

Dirty Things that can only be said on Thanksgiving

Dirty things that can only be said on Thanksgiving..
. 1. Talk about a huge breast...
2. Tying the legs together keeps the inside moist...
3. It's Cool Whip time...
4. If I don't undo my pants, I'll burst...
5. That's one terrific spread..
.6. I'm in the mood for a little dark meat...
7. Are you ready for seconds yet...
8. Its a little dry, do you still want to eat it...
9. Just wait your turn, you'll get some...
10. Don't play with your meat...
11. Just spread the legs open and stuff it in...
12. Do you think you'll be able to handle all these people at once...
13. I didn't expect everyone to come at once...
14. You still have a little bit on your chin...
15. How long will it take after you stick it in...
16. You'll know it's ready when it pops up...
17. Wow, I didn't think I could handle all of that...
18. That's the biggest one I've ever seen...

Theater Outing-Indianapolis

Theater on the Squares is doing Christmas Belles-sounds like great fun . Its doubtful that I'll get to see this production

CHRISTMAS BELLES by Jessie Jones, Nicholas Hope & Jamie Wooten
November 28th through December 20th, 2008- Mainstage
A church Christmas program spins hilariously out of control in this Southern farce about squabbling sisters, family secrets, a surly Santa, a vengeful sheep and a reluctant Elvis impersonator. It's Christmas-time in the small town of Fayro, Texas, and the Futrelle Sisters-Frankie, Twink and Honey Raye-are not exactly in a festive mood. A cranky Frankie is weeks overdue with her second set of twins. Twink, recently jilted and bitter about it, is in jail for inadvertently burning down half the town. And hot-flash-suffering Honey Raye is desperately trying to keep the Tabernacle of the Lamb's Christmas Program from spiraling into chaos. But things are not looking too promising: Miss Geneva, the ousted director of the previous twenty-seven productions, is ruthless in her attempts to take over the show.
The celebrity guest Santa Claus-played by Frankie's long-suffering husband, Dub-is passing a kidney stone. One of the shepherds refuses to watch over his flock by night without pulling his little red wagon behind him. And the entire cast is dropping like flies due to food poisoning from the Band Boosters' Pancake Supper. And when Frankie lets slip a family secret that has been carefully guarded for decades, all hope for a successful Christmas program seems lost, even with an Elvis impersonator at the manger. But in true Futrelle fashion, the feuding sisters find a way to pull together in order to present a Christmas program the citizens of Fayro will never forget. Their hilarious holiday journey through a misadventure-filled Christmas Eve is guaranteed to bring joy to your world!

Patti Labelle and Labelle

OK all you early disco fan. Patti Labelle and Labelle are going on tour. This is their first tour since 1977. I remember the Labelle doing the Lady Marmalade. Legend has it, the Labelle didn't know they were singing about an invitation to sex. Boy were they upset when they found out. I still prefer their single to the Moulin Rougue version.

Wanda Comes out

y
Wanda Sykes came out this weekend at a Anti-Prop 8 rallies. Wanda didn't have to come out, she wasn't caught by the paparazzi or being blackmailed. She had enough after Prop 8 passed.
I've always thought Wanda was one of the funniest people alive but now I think she is one the bravest.

Don Bachardy

Don Bachardy is a famous artist in his own right. I especially love these to dawning one of his partner Chris and the other on Montgomery cliff. I never found Montgomery Cliff all that handsome but he had a intensity in eye. Don was able to capture that look.

Film Festival-Chris and Don: A Love story

Chris and Don : A Love Story was the first David and I see on Saturday. Its detail the unique story of Christopher Ischerwood and Don Bachardy. Unique because of the 30 year age difference and their openness about being a couple.

It is a documentary with personal letters and art work to Don from Chris. I found myself uncomfortable with the age differences at times. It didn't help the Don looked even younger then then 19. They were frank about the hard times as well as the good time.

I cried a little when Don described drawing Chris after he died. Something it took me a moment before I realize the true the beauty in the act.

SNL-November 14

I understand Saturday Night Live is a comedy and parody -But com'n. I've already have a open wound after being declared a second class citizen by Californians. I could have handle one stereotypical skit but they wouldn't stop last night. I put up with a French kissing dad meeting his new friend, Paul Rudd and Andy Samberg painting each nude and wearing matching all white tuxedo (extra big bow ties ) to the showing where they made everyone sick. Snagglepuss the Lion then showed his support against Prop 8 and announced he and Great Gonzo were lover. Then the top was Justin Timblelake in drag tossing his wrist around and lisping behind Beyonce.

Yes Yes, I ...know its all in fun. I also know how disappointed that angry my friend ,partner and myself are over the passing of the amendments. It was in very poor taste to do as many offensive sketches. I'm not up to being to made fun of yet.

One more thing, for making a surprise guest appearance Justin Timblelake -knew how to walk in heels. You go girl.

I'm proud of Michigan

Only 32 people gave money is support of Prop 8,

225 give money to defeat Prop 8

The largest donation in support of Prop 8 was from West Michigan own Elsa Prince, the Queen mother of her royal highness Betsy Devos. Elsa gave $450,000.00 to Prop 8. Betsy is married to Richard DeVos the Amway and major string puller of the Republican party.
Elsa give $75,000.00 to defeat same sex marriage or anything resembling that on in Michigan. If you want to see if anyone you know gave here is the database http://www.sfgate.com/webdb/prop8/

Paula Abdul

It was bound to happen sometime. I've alway been uncomfortable with people being humilated on television. One contestant for American Idol was found death outside of Abdul home. She was on 2002 broadcast and was made fun for her braces. This is very sad. It reminds me when guest of Jenny Jones shot another. Reality bites

Reel Pride Michigan starts tomorrow

Opening Night at the Main Theater in downtown Royal Oak
Join us for a fabulous opening night party!
We begin Reel Pride Michigan 2008 with a gala party before our opening film Tru Loved. There will be a great food, plenty of drinks, and entertainment. After the gala event, we'll screen our opening night film Tru Loved.

Prop 8

All the gay people I know are upset about Prop 8. passing. Much more upset then when their own rights were striped away a few years ago. I'm trying to understand this- but I'm not getting it. Is it that we look to California to be our leaded?. Maybe we think its the land of milk and honey? The people are just so cool and laid back-they are OK with us gay folks.

Whatever the reason it didn't happen-like it didn't happen in 27 other states. Now its 30 states that Amendment their Constitution. In Michigan and Ohio you can't ever have partnership benefits its written right in. Not only do they the not want to Marry they don't want us to be able to take care of our partners. Pretty damn cruel folks.

In the mean time, David and I are not getting any younger. Friends straight and gay are starting to drop. Other are getting serious illness. I'm concerned- I imagined all the pressure of being without him. We must have everything perfectly legal -or one of us lose what we have built together.

Back in the '70's . The religious right compliant we didn't have binding long term relationship Jerry Falwell and Anita Bryant made a name for themselves by claiming to protect children from the."Homosexual lifestyle". The Homosexual lifestyle was nothing but group of self involved hedonist. Unwilling and unable to make to lasting committed to each other.

In the '80's with did a admirable job taking care of each one another. We did it without government support. We proved to ourselves and world that we our a decent group of people and value to society.

In 2003 the United States Supreme Court ruled that you can't have special laws for Gay People . Before the ink was dry the battle for equal right in marriage. Surprisingly enough it started by Right wing Christian group. The fear that we may become a Sodom and Gomorrah like Canada and the Netherlands. if committed relationship were to take place.

Either you believe that society is strengthen by human ties or you don't. It's that simple. Its not about an agenda or special rights.

Wow I think this is Amazing

Archaeologists found remnants of a white limestone casing for the surviving, 16-foot-tall (5-meter-tall) pyramid base. The angle of the base helped them determine that the pyramid's walls stood at a 51-degree angle.
Based on that angle, the team determined that the pyramid was originally 46 feet (14 meters) tall and about 72 feet (22 meters) square at its base.
The researchers were somewhat surprised to find a pyramid here, since they thought the area had been exhausted. Archaeologists had already found subsidiary pyramids for Teti's two principal wives Iput I and Khuit, a hundred years ago and in 1994, respectively.

What I'm watching-1st & ten

I picked the collect series of 1st & 10. It's was in the discount bin at Walmart for $5. A bargain. I remember Designing Woman paid a lot of money to get Delta Burke out of her contact. Delta and HBO i figure it would be a winner. I was right.
With-in two minutes of starting the DVD Delta catches her husband naked giving a full body to naked Rick Moser(heart be still). He said honey this is "Ty Taylor the tight end". Delta replies" I bet he is." OK now- I'm hooked.

Since that end Ty Taylor has been a small part of the show. In one episode you see him dancing with another man and in another playing prank. Still its nice to see to see a Gay story line.
