My Fat Ass -Diettian visit

Before I Could see the dietitian, I had to place my initials by the programs rule. The rules consisted of 2 pages of things such thing as keeping a journals every day and wear gym clothes on exercise day. They want to know you taking this program seriously. Then I was had to pay $200- this visit was not covered by my insurance. The 200 gets me 3 more visits with either the dietitian, the behaviorist or the exercise instructor.

The dietitian outlined how the program worked. I get 800 to 900 calorie a day. You buy their food ,called product, and you keep a total in a journal. In your journal you also keep track of exercise and water taken in. I will be getting bi-weekly blood work- a Complete blood count and be seen by the doctor. After 10 weeks of I will transition back to regular food and begin a 1200-1400 calorie diet.
The dietitian help me pick out my product. I will eat only one entree per day. I may eat up to 2 high protein bars. The rests of the food are my choice. I with eat "produce" five times a day-preferably before I get hungry. All sounds simple enough- I start the following Monday

A Contemporary American's Guide To A Successful Marriage © 1959

January 28th through February 19th

In time for Valentine's Day, this wildly funny comedy is set against the backdrop of the late 1950s and told in the unbelievably upbeat style of the social guidance films of that era. This play, which focuses on two Iowa couples who get married 'by the book', reminds us that marriage today is no more "for better or worse" than it ever was! In retrospect, the 1950s were a period when much of what seemed right turned out to be wrong, and much of what was considered bad turned out to be wonderful...and funny!

My Fat Ass- first Doctor Visits

On arrival to Doctor, her assistance get your measurements, weight and muscle mass. The use a machine called a Tanita. That tanita measure things I really don't understand. But one of those thing is fat to muscle ratio.I thought about lying to to the doctor.I didn't want to appear like a complete lay a about and little piggy. I even expressed the ideal to David.
But- David always the straight shooter and truth teller-assuranced no harm would be done by telling the truth. He was wrong. The Doctor snicker when I told her I didn't exercise, gasp about the amount of soft drinks I take in, and totally lost it when I told loose 40 pounds about every other year, then gain in back.
The Doctor read my results of the Tanita. And here is the kicker- I have lots of muscle compared to my fat. It shows that with the loss of as little as 40IB I'll be in healthy range. My BMI show much more that I need to lose a lot then that. The Doctor was sure I was lying about working out.

In a tiny Peruvian seaside village, where traditions run deep, Miguel (Cristian Mercado), a young fisherman, and his beautiful bride, Mariela (Tatiana Astengo), are about to welcome their first child. But Miguel harbors a scandalous secret. He’s in love with Santiago (Manolo Cardona), a painter, who is ostracized by the town because he’s gay. After a tragic accident occurs, Miguel must choose between sentencing Santiago to eternal torment or doing right by him and, in turn, revealing their relationship to Mariela—and the entire village. Written and directed by Javier Fuentes-León, and featuring a sizzling international cast, Contracorriente (Undertow) is rich in the details of legend, tradition, and locale; and it is in these details that the truth lies. Strikingly photographed to accentuate the majestic Peruvian coastline, this sexy, haunting love story transcends place and time.

My Fat Ass- Orientation

The orientation is held in the large meeting room in the medical building. First I must tell you that you sign an agreement to ask questions. Hard to image that someone would lay out this kind of money and without checking everything out. It was snowy that evening and there were only 3 attendee- really only 2 one was spouse. The dietitians give the details of the different plans. The very low calorie plan, the half ass plan or the 1200-1400 calorie plan.
I went with the very low calorie plan. My reason is I'm tired of weight plateaus. For the past 15 year I loss 35 to 40 pound every other year then I'm stuck. I don't mean for a couple of weeks I mean months at time. I just too old to go through it again. The difficulty of keeping spirits up is just hard. I had to try something new.

How does a 800-900 calorie diet work? Everything were told is more calorie you take away the more the body keep in reserve. The meals are designed to high protein. You eat small qualities of food or beverage 5 times throughout the day. Protein keeps the muscle you have while keeping your Metabolism high. You also must do resistive exercises to keep building muscle .

The biggest groans of the evening when I asked about caffeine. Only 16 ounce of diet cola a day or one cup of coffee. I knew this was going to trouble spot -I can feel a headache coming on.

GOD BLESS YOU, MR.ROSEWATER

Even David didn't know about this one. A classic Kurt Vonnegut book turned into a musical. The music is by the same team who wrote Little Shop of Horror and Little MermaidGod Bless You, Mr. Rosewater

God Bless You, Mr. Rosewater, or Pearls Before Swine, is a novel written by Kurt Vonnegut, Jr., published in 1965. The plot focuses on Eliot Rosewater, the primary trustee of the philanthropic Rosewater Foundation, whom one of the family lawyers, Norman Mushari, is attempting to have declared insane, in order for a distant relative, Fred Rosewater, an insurance salesman from Rhode Island, to gain control

“Bloomington” is a coming-of-age drama about a former child actress attending college in search of independence and who ends up becoming romantically involved with a female professor. Their relationship thrives until an opportunity to return to acting forces her to make life-altering decisions.

Jackie Kirk (Sarah Stouffer), a 22 year-old ex-television child actress arrives in the mid-west all the way from California. She is ready to explore new options and exercise a sense of independence that had thus far been lacking in her life. Her greatest wish is to blend in with her peers which proves to be difficult at times as she fields the endless parade of stares and questions about “Neptune 26,” the popular sci-fi show she was once a part of. Jackie has not been away from her family since the show ended four years prior. Although she is not exactly close to her parents, being alone for the first time is nonetheless an overwhelming experience.

Day and Night of Molly Dodd

When is going to come out in DVD already

My Fat Ass- Why?

I’m at the appointment desk, wondering how had things gotten to this point ? Let me see jelly beans for Easter, conversation hearts for Valentines Day. The daily trips to McDonald, the nightly run to for soft serve ice cream Why can’t I pinpoint one thing. Oh God – It’s just too much of everything. Everything!- everything but exercise.

The Doctors- The Doctors blood pressure, Gastric reflects, asthma, Pre-dietetic and finally ---- sleep apnea. I realized, I hit rock bottom. It was either loose 40Ib or be strapped to a machine. I repeat Strapped to a machine.

So here I stand, under yellow florescent lights, in the basement of medical building realized – it’s come to this…Medical weight loss.

See this Movie- I Love You Phillip Morris

We seen I Love Phillip Morris in Royal Oak, Saturday afternoon to a small group. The movie is not politically corect-which means Republican will like it. The quirky hard to believe story is all truth-I fact checked with google. It's about a genius master conman who manages to get in and out of trouble as well as get in and out of jail. He became an embrassment to Governor Bush in Texas
I loved this movie-David not so much. I enjoyed it because it was unpredicable. David felt like it was embrassemnt to gay men-especially the over indulged life style. I thought the love scenes invovling Jim Carry and Ewan Mcgregor were touching and sweet. There appeared to be actual sexual chemistry between the two.

The movie despite good reviews has been shevled for two years. Maybe- they were unsure how to market the movie. This movie is two snaps

Martin Luther King friend Bayard Rustin

Although Bayard Rustin was one of the most important leaders of the American civil rights movement from the advent of its modern period in the 1950s until well into the 1980s, his name was seldom mentioned; he received comparatively little press or media attention, and others' names were usually much more readily associated with the movement than his was. His was a behind-the-scenes role that, for all its importance, never garnered Rustin the public acclaim he deserved. Rustin's homosexuality and early communist affiliation probably meant that the importance of his contribution to the civil rights and peace movements would never be acknowledged. However, fairness demands that the extent of Rustin's work receive a fair public reception

theater Outing Detroit The Agony &the Agony

Magenta Giraffe Theatre Company of Detroit presents the Michigan premiere of The Agony & The Agony, by Nicky Silver, directed by Lisa Melinn (Educational Director, Magenta Giraffe Theatre Co.). The show runs from January 14-February 5, 2011. Tickets are $15-$18, with pay-what-you-can tickets available to all performances other than opening night, which is half-price. Tickets may be reserved by phone at 313-408-7269 or at www.magentagiraffe.org.

The Agony & The Agony delves into an issue with which no Detroiter is unfamiliar: when one has been doing the same thing for so long, and it's no longer working, what does one do? What does it mean to age? What is the nature of success?

Richard Aglow, a (failed?) playwright, has just begun to write a play hoping to illuminate the issue through the character of Nathan Leopold, Jr., a self-proclaimed Nietzschean superman who rose to infamy by committing "the crime of the century" at the age of 17 and then seemingly vanished into obscurity. Richard's wife Lela (who married him in spite of his homosexuality) has just had a chance run-in with a Broadway producer who may be able to resurrect her career, but the plans of both come skidding to an impasse with the arrival of Lela's lover, his pregnant girlfriend… and Nathan Leopold, Jr., who does not think so much of Richard's play. In true Nicky Silver fashion, all is eventually resolved and important conclusions reached, but not before the playwright has us aching from laughter and psychic discomfort, reveling in the humor of this bizarre situation and empathizing with its undeniable familiarity.

The cast includes Connie Cowper (Rochester Hills), Jonathan Davidson (Ferndale), Keith Kalinowski (Ann Arbor), Alan Madlane (Ferndale), Molly McMahon (Detroit) and Dalibor Stolevski (Oakland Twp.). Gwen Lindsay exhibits her scenic design; lighting by Neil Koivu; costumes by Katie Casebolt.

Just Because-Ann Francis

Anne Francis played the ultra cool private investigator Honey West. Despite good rating the show only lasted one season. The much hyped Girl From UNCLE was added to scheduled and ABC thought the audience couldn't handle two shows about women. The Girl From Uncle was a parody-tongue in cheek show, while the Man from UNCLE played it straight. It is largely believe the Girl From UNCLE killed the once popular Man From UNCLE.

The House of Blue Leaves is set during the Pope's 1965 visit to New York City, which brings the hope of answered prayers and a few unexpected guests to an apartment in Sunnyside, Queens. Described best as a farcical black comedy, The House of Blue Leaves features fussy nuns, a political bombing, a GI headed for Vietnam, a zookeeper who dreams of making it big in Hollywood as a songwriter, and his wife Bananas, a schizophrenic destined for the institution that provides the play's title.
